Now that is something I haven't had in a loooong time. I did always like them though, especially with jam or honey on them to get into all those little holes. MMmmmm now I am hungry!
Hmmm crumpet...my first thought was that it looked like an English muffin, but then I wondered "do they call them English muffins in ENGLAND??" Ah, the mysteries of life...
All the food on this blog, unless explicitly noted, is vegan. That means that no animal products (flesh, milk, eggs, or gelatin) have been used. So go ahead and enjoy the food porn-ice cream! omlettes! baked goods galore!- guilt-free.

those look like pure love.
I love crumpets so much. We always keep some in the freezer to snack on.
I love them. Remember pandacookie = pandacrumpet whilst in England.
I always wondered what a crumpet is!
Pretty interesting. I've never had a crumpet and had no idea what they looked like!
One of life's simplest pleasures :0)
ah! I thought you were going to teach me to make them. Oh well. I can still drool over them as is.
bex, I'm sorry, these are store-bought- I don't have many baking facilities at the moment!
Mmmm very much so. This is right up there with a hot piece of toast with vegemite. YUM!

Crumpets are such a great thing - and your photo makes me want one now!
I agree with this entire post!
I miss crumpets :/ can't be bothered to buy a crumpet form, though, when there are visits to and friends in the UK.

hey kati- english muffins are just called 'muffins' here! and crumpets are softer, fluffier and chewier than muffins. I love both though.
Yum. Would you believe that I have eaten 6 crumpets today? What a pig. The only thing missing from your picture is the layer of marmite..
Ahhhh Crumpets...I remember you with your little fluffy, chompy, melt in the mouth crunchy bits.
And they're Vegan to??
Who'd have thought!
INDEED!
