Is this what they meant by April Showers?

I hope that the beginning of a new week is finding all of you well. As you might have heard, the Northeastern part of the U.S. is being hit with massive storms. I woke up this morning to a white wonderland of snow. So far, we've had about 12 inches and counting. I took some pictures with my phone (hence the low resolution) to share with you. Daiku, I hope you're enjoying your last day in New Orleans!

Have a great day, everybody!

Oh poor you! In Sweden the magnolia is in full bloom and I'm wearing my new dress and getting some sun on my legs.

I hope you get spring soon.

Bazu! The pictures are beautiful, but it would be much more beautiful if it were, say, JANUARY right now. I hope warm weather & sunshine & daffodils are coming your way soon!

Oh yes, I have heard about the storms and have been thinking of my Northeastern blogger friends! I wish you happy sunshiney thoughts of spring... though I can't deny that the photos of the snow are absolutely gorgeous, and I am (as always) a teeny bit jealous that I can't be there!

Wow! I'm in Rochester and we've just had a miserable stream of rain/snow where I am. I agree that this all would be much nicer if it were December or January!

Whoa!!
That's amazing. 12 inches is nothing to shake a stick at, is it? That's so much snow! How beautiful.

Oh, these seasons are really out of whack. We've just had our area declared to be in an official state of drought. And then I see your picture of all the snow!

I'm glad to hear that you can still appreciate its beauty, even if it is a bit inconvenient - and chilly!!

That looks beautiful, but in my experience, after how many months of winter, you're probably ready to see some green grass. No matter how pretty it is, it gets old.

I'm sending warm, tropical thoughts your way!

Wow! That looks beautiful! Although I imagine it’s not that much fun trying to get anywhere in snow that deep…

Oh wow! Look at all that snow. I feel like such a sissy complaining about the three inches we got last week. LOL The snow covered trees are beautiful. I hope some nice weather comes your way soon :)

Oh, I know! In NYC we just had rain, and as much as I enjoy winter, I'm really ready for it to be over. I want to enjoy spring!

At least you were able to take some beautiful photos!

It looks very pretty....for now. Wait until it melts and is all slushy and muddy. I'm in Canada, aka, "The Great White North" and today is pretty green for me. We had some wind, a bit of rain and that was it! No snow. I heard Montreal was getting a dump and so was out east. Glad I don't live there anymore. Enjoy the whiteness Bazu. This is probably the last storm of the season.

Wow, it's pretty, but...! It's funny to think of how different the weather is where Daiku is. He's going to have some adapting to do when he gets home!

Oh goodness...the seasons are so screwed up! I'm sure things will warm up soon, but in the meantime, your pictures are lovely. The blueness is so beautiful! I do love snow, but isn't this enough already?

That's just so weird! It's April for cryin' out loud. (sigh) I hope you get actual SPring weather soon, kiddo. You're doing a great job finding the beauty in the late snow storm, though. :)

Pretty, but .... poor Bazu! All we've had is 5 inches of rain from this darned Nor'easter. Hope it melts soon!

Thank you so much for your sympathy, everyone! I didn't want to seem whiney, but I am so ready for Spring! And it looks like we will start having warm sunny weather by this weekend. Most of the freak snow is already melted away.
