This looks like a muy cool place to hang out! I was so spoiled when I lived in the desert south west- so much great latin music & flavour!
Love the haiku :0) And wow, that restaurant sounds FABULOUS and fun!!
Bop-bop. BOP-BOP-BOP.
Vive la clave!
Pigeon peas! Wonderful. I first had them in the Bahamas and find they're highly underappreciated in these parts. Very cool to have those options close to you.
Bazu! I love the combination of the pictures and the haiku. Looks like lots of fun!
What a great night out. Those tostones look even better than the ones I had in Vieques!
That looks like a fun evening. Good music, good food. Yum! And I see that bottle of beer in the background ;o)so add good drink to the mix.
I loved your baking post below. Delicious looking cupcakes. I hope to hear that the rats found good homes. Seeing and hearing things about animals being put down for no good reason makes me so sad - especially after these little guys were saved from the lab. I'm hoping for good news.
nice touch! i enjoyed your haiku :)
just wanted to let you know that we adopted 3 of the rat boys last night...turns out the syracuse foster lives less than two blocks away from us so we just walked over there with a carrier and picked up the new "kids". thanks for bringing them to our attention!
Rachael, how exciting! That totally made my night.
arroz con gandules: rice with pigeon peas IS my favorite beans/peas with rice dish. i made a batch and posted about it on my blog a while back.
