quick update

Hi everybody,

Just a quick post to say I haven't disappeared, I'm just a little buried in schoolwork right now! I have lots of blog posts up my sleeve, but it might take a few more days before I'm back to regular posting. For now, check out my sidebar- I've updated my links and added a large number of really cool blogs and websites that I hope you'll have fun browsing!

One last thing before I go- if you're looking for a recipe to make, make the caesar salad from Veganomicon- NOW! The croutons are awesome (especially if made with *cough*sourdough*cough*) but the dressing itself is the star. So creamy and garlic-y, it's perfect as a spread for bread and sandwiches, as a dip for veggies (or even fruit- try it on apple slices!), as a topping for beans, or just to eat out of the jar if you happen to be stressed, under a lot of deadlines, and hungry!

Have a great week, and I look forward to catching up with everyones' blogs soon.

Hmm I tried to leave a comment just now and it didn't work. In any case.. I said I hope I get VCON for Christmas!! Everything looks so good.

Mmm, that dressing does look good! I made a ranch style dressing awhile back. I had forgotten how good a rich creamy dressing is!

Oh, thank goodness you posted! I was going through Bazu-vegan-Mofo withdrawal :-(

Good luck with your end-of-the-semester stuff!

I think everyone is overwhelmed with schoolwork right now...but it's almost winter bread for you, right? Unless you get to have fun correcting exams during break ;-) Anyway, good luck!

I've been wanting to try that caeser salad for AGES, but I can't bear to spend 2€ (like, $5) for a box of silken tofu that cost $0.89 in NYC. I'm sure I'll give in one of these days, though.

Same story with me...life has been crazy. Holidays don't help!

I'm nicknaming you Madame Sourdough.

there's a restaurant near me that serves up an AMAZING vegan caesar salad - I'll have to try this recipe so I can curb my caesar cravings at home ^_^

also, I'm glad you're not disgusted by the pea salad - I'll never understand people who shy away from the amazingness of mayo/vegenaisey salads. It's pretty easy, but I'll post a recipe for it sometime.

Thank you so much for all the great-sounding pudding ideas (especially the chocolate coconut!)... how did you know I was so fond of chocolate? ;o)

Good luck with all the schoolwork! I'm in the same boat; finals are upon us :o/

Me again. I just realized that you left the poor little one out of your blogroll update. Can't categorize me? Not feeling the love any more? JK. I know we can't include everyone. You're still rad.

I totally sympathize about being swamped with school stuff, Bazu. I'm in the same boat! Will be sending productive vibes your way--across the ocean.

This is an amazing blog. I found it through Aussie Vegan's blogroll and immediately started wishing that I had found your site before I went to the market today. Great work!

Whew, a big sigh of relief. I haven't posted in a week, but I feel much better now that I know I"m not the only one busy with other stuff!!!
I haven't had a caesar salad in so long I can't remember. Hmmm, I have a dinner party on Friday and this may be the perfect re-appearance opportunity.

Couldn't agree more about the dressing- absolutely flawless and way yummier than the traditional anchovy laced stuff.

Thanks for visiting my blog! Good luck on finals!
